- 4 cups fresh corn kernels
- 4 slices turkey bacon
- 1 cup diced chicken ham
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- In a large pot, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pot, add olive oil and sauté onion until translucent.
- Add garlic and cook for another minute.
- Stir in the corn and cook for 5 minutes.
- Add chicken broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Blend the mixture until smooth, then return to the pot.
- Stir in the heavy cream, salt, pepper, and smoked paprika. Heat through.
- Serve hot, garnished with crumbled turkey bacon and fresh parsley.
Notes
- For a thicker chowder, blend part of the corn mixture.
- Adjust seasoning to your taste preferences.
