  • 2 cups sliced mushrooms
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat and add sliced onions. Cook until caramelized.
  2. Add mushrooms and turkey bacon, cooking until mushrooms are tender.
  3. Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir well.
  4. Gradually add chicken broth, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
  5. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 20 minutes.
  6. Stir in heavy cream and thyme, cooking for an additional 5 minutes.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.
