  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 2-3 bananas)
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla extract; mix until combined.
  5. Stir in the mashed bananas.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
  7. Drop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden.
  9. In a small bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth to create the glaze.
  10. Once cookies are cooled, drizzle the cream cheese glaze over the top.
