Delicious and easy mozzarella stuffed meatballs with a turkey bacon twist, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 6 slices turkey bacon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Take a small amount of the mixture and flatten it in your palm. Place a piece of mozzarella cheese in the center and wrap the meat around it, forming a ball.
  4. Wrap each meatball with a slice of turkey bacon.
  5. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until cooked through.

Notes

  • Serve with marinara sauce for dipping.
  • These meatballs can be made ahead of time and frozen.
