A delicious twist on the classic green bean casserole, featuring turkey bacon for a savory flavor.

  • 1 pound fresh green beans
  • 6 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 cup cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy, then chop.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the green beans, cooked bacon, cream of mushroom soup, cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and mix well.
  4. Transfer to a greased baking dish and top with breadcrumbs and drizzle with olive oil.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown.

Notes

  • For extra crunch, add fried onion rings on top during the last 10 minutes of baking.
  • This casserole can be made a day ahead and refrigerated before baking.
