  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, salt, and granulated sugar.
  3. Add the cold, cubed butter to the flour mixture and blend until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and stir until just combined.
  5. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed, then turn the dough onto a floured surface and gently knead it.
  6. Roll or pat the dough to about 1-inch thick.
  7. Cut out rounds with a biscuit cutter and place on a baking sheet.
