This bread is the perfect base for all your sandwich creations!

Ingredients

  • 4 cups bread flour
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 1 ½ cups lukewarm water

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix bread flour, salt, and sugar.
  2. Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water and add to dry ingredients.
  3. Knead the dough until smooth and elastic.
  4. Let the dough rise until doubled, about 1 hour.
  5. Shape the dough into a loaf and place in a greased loaf pan.
  6. Let it rise again until about an inch above the rim of the pan.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 30-35 minutes.
  8. Cool on a wire rack.

Notes

  • For best results, use fresh active dry yeast.
  • Allow bread to cool completely before slicing.
