A comforting and hearty old-fashioned potato soup made with turkey bacon and chicken ham, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups peeled and diced potatoes
  • 1 cup diced turkey bacon
  • 1 cup diced chicken ham
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the turkey bacon and chicken ham, and sauté until lightly browned.
  2. Add the onion and garlic, and cook until the onion is translucent.
  3. Stir in the diced potatoes and chicken broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until the potatoes are tender.
  4. Stir in the heavy cream, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  5. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For a thicker soup, mash some of the potatoes against the side of the pot.
  • Adjust seasoning to taste.
