  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups apples, peeled and chopped
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup salted caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Add in the flour, baking powder, and salt, mixing until just combined.
  4. Press half of the dough into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  5. In another bowl, toss the chopped apples with cinnamon, then spread them over the crust.
  6. Drizzle half of the salted caramel sauce over the apples.
  7. Take the remaining dough and crumble it over the apple layer.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Let cool, cut into bars, and drizzle with remaining caramel sauce before serving.
