- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups apples, peeled and chopped
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup salted caramel sauce
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Add in the flour, baking powder, and salt, mixing until just combined.
- Press half of the dough into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- In another bowl, toss the chopped apples with cinnamon, then spread them over the crust.
- Drizzle half of the salted caramel sauce over the apples.
- Take the remaining dough and crumble it over the apple layer.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool, cut into bars, and drizzle with remaining caramel sauce before serving.
