  • 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 2 teaspoons ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup plain yogurt

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, garlic, spices, salt, and lemon juice. Mix well.
  2. Add chicken thighs to the bowl and coat thoroughly with the marinade. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Place the marinated chicken in the slow cooker and pour any remaining marinade over the top.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or until chicken is fully cooked and tender.
  5. Once cooked, shred the chicken using two forks and mix it with the juices in the slow cooker.
  6. Serve with pita bread, fresh vegetables, and your choice of toppings.
