  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 pound spring chicken, cut into pieces
  • 4 slices turkey bacon, chopped
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, corn)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. Add the chicken pieces to the pot and cook until browned.
  3. Pour in the chicken broth and add mixed vegetables, bringing to a boil.
  4. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir in milk to form a dough.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the dough into the boiling broth and cover. Cook for 15 minutes.
  6. Stir in the cooked bacon and parsley before serving.
