  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup angel food cake, cubed
  • 2 cups whipped cream
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the sliced strawberries with 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar. Let them macerate for about 10 minutes.
  2. In another bowl, mix the whipped cream with vanilla extract and remaining sugar until soft peaks form.
  3. Layer the trifles starting with cake cubes, followed by strawberries and whipped cream, repeating until glasses are filled.
  4. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
