A comforting and flavorful baked ziti recipe featuring savory sausage, perfect for family dinners or gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ziti pasta
  • 1 pound Italian sausage
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook ziti pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, cook Italian sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  4. Add marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the skillet with sausage. Stir to combine.
  5. In a large bowl, combine cooked ziti, sausage mixture, and 1 cup of mozzarella cheese. Mix well.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish. Top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
