Ingredients
2 cups sticky rice
1 cup coconut milk
1 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 ripe mangoes
Instructions
Rinse the sticky rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
Soak the rice in water for at least 4 hours or overnight.
Drain and steam the rice for about 30-40 minutes until tender.
In a saucepan, combine coconut milk, sugar, and salt over medium heat until sugar is dissolved.
Once the rice is cooked, mix it with half of the coconut milk mixture and let it sit for 10 minutes.
Slice the mangoes and serve the sticky rice topped with the remaining coconut milk mixture.
Notes
For added flavor, sprinkle sesame seeds on top before serving.
Consider garnishing with fresh mint leaves for a pop of color.
